Dr. Lukas has been with Midwest Animal Hospital since June 2009, the same year she graduated from the University of Illinois with her DVM.

What is your favorite quote about animals?
My favorite animal-related quote is “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” 

What is your favorite part about working at Midwest?
I love the variety of cases we see. No two days are ever the same! We have a great team that makes it even better.

What are your hobbies?
Enjoying time off with my family, cooking, and reading. I also enjoy taking my puppy to training classes. We are working towards doing agility when he is older.

What are 3 things people would be surprised to know about you?
I cannot keep houseplants alive for anything but I do grow beautiful plants in my aquarium. I love horses and would love to get back into riding regularly again. Lastly, running is my favorite way to exercise.
