Dr. Fleming received her BS in animal sciences from UIUC in 2019 and earned her DVM from UIUC in 2023.

What one piece of advice would you give pet owners?
I would tell pet owners this: Don’t be afraid to ask if something is okay or clarify something! We’re here to help.

My mother’s side of the family is from Cuba, I love spicy food, and I can’t say no to a margarita!

Do you have pets? Tell us about them!
I have 2 rescue dogs, Oliver and Charlie. I adopted them while I was in vet school and they’ve changed my life.

What are some things you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love all kinds of outdoor activities, like hiking, kayaking/canoeing, and playing with my dogs. In my downtime, I enjoy watching TV shows and spending time with friends.
