Ayanna Davis

Dr. Davis is a graduate of Tuskegee University, and she joined Midwest Animal Hospital in June 2022.

What do you love most about working here?
Although we are a general practice, we see a lot of cool cases. I love how every day is different and never boring!

Why did you decide to go into veterinary medicine?
Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved animals. As a kid, I would do anything to have the opportunity to be around a dog or cat. As I got older, I realized that the relationship we have with animals is an amazing thing and I wanted to help foster that relationship any way I could.

What might people be surprised to know about you?
I was class president all 4 years of veterinary medicine school, I played the piano for 10 years (and now I can’t play a single note), and Tuskegee University (my veterinary school) is the only historically black college in the country with a college of veterinary medicine!

Do you have any pets?
I have one dog, a cute, spunky Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix named Paloma. She was my patient in 2022 and I loved her so much I had to adopt her from the rescue!
