Dr. Strait graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science and earned her DVM from the University of Illinois in 2022.

What made you decide to pick veterinary medicine for your career?
I was the little kid who never changed their mind. I started telling everyone as soon as I could talk that I wanted to be a vet and I stuck with it!

What is your favorite part about working at Midwest?
I love the variety of cases that we get to see and the number of pets that we get to help. Every day brings something different and I learn something new every day.

Tell us a little bit about your family.
My husband and I have been together since high school. We got married in July 2021. We have a German Shepherd named Petra, 4 cats named Goose, Jasper, Athena, and Stache, and 21 chickens!

What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I love spending time outside, horseback riding, watching movies, trying new restaurants, and doing my nails.
