Chiropractic Care for Pets

If your pet is having trouble standing, walking or jumping, they could benefit from our chiropractic services. The goal of chiropractic care is to restore movement of the skeletal system in areas that are currently inhibited, and therefore reduce pain and help the patient live a longer, happier life.

Spinal Manipulative Therapy

We are very fortunate to have a certified chiropractic veterinarian in our ranks to offer services such as veterinary spinal manipulative therapy (VSMT) to make pets more comfortable and enhance their quality of life. Veterinary spinal manipulative therapy involves manually adjusting the spine to restore movement in the neck and joints. This therapy can also improve blood flow to the spine, and alleviate pressure on the spinal cord.

With VSMT, we can help your pet return to a more normal level of functioning and regain their mobility. This procedure is performed by making manual adjustments to the joints to realign them. Your pet may experience some soreness following therapy, which is normal. Over time, they will become more comfortable and active.

Conditions That Can Be Treated with VSMT

  • Injuries sustained from sports or trauma
  • Muscle spasms
  • Joint stiffness
  • Incontinence
  • Back/tail/joint pain

Chiropractic care not only reduces pain and restores mobility; it can also improve organ function and help your pet live longer. For more information about our chiropractic services and how they can benefit your pet, stop in with your pet for a visit, or call us at (708) 478-7788.
