Hydrotherapy

Rehabilitating your pet may involve one or more special treatments to reduce their discomfort and increase their range of motion. One of our favorite methods for helping pets recover their strength is the underwater treadmill, or hydrotherapy. The warm water keeps pets comfortable and allows for greater flexibility of the connective tissues. It also prevents pets from putting too much weight and stress on their bones and joints, so they can safely build up endurance.

Water levels and treadmill speed can easily be adjusted to accommodate your pet’s condition and comfort level. Benefits of our water treadmill include:

  • Improving range of motion
  • Reducing pain
  • Strengthening muscles
  • Increasing endurance
  • Weight loss
  • Rehabilitation of osteoarthritis, muscle weakness, soft tissue injuries, and much more

Pets are always attended by experienced staff members during their treatments. When introducing pets to our water treadmill, we take care to ensure they feel as comfortable and secure as possible before proceeding.

Additional Services

Your veterinarian may suggest supplementing your pet’s hydrotherapy with medication, laser therapy, or chiropractic care for better results. We may need to see them for frequent follow-ups to ensure that they are responding well to treatment and making noticeable progress.
