Whether you’re going out of town for a week and need to board your pet or they just need some occupation while you’re at work all day, we’ll be more than happy to accommodate you. At Midwest Animal Hospital, we believe our cat and dog boarding and daycare guests deserve to enjoy their time with us as much as possible. Our attendants and supervisors treat each pet like their own, and go above and beyond to ensure their comfort.

Boarding for Dogs and Cats

When your pet boards with us, we will do all that we can to make them feel welcome. Dogs can enjoy private play time with our staff members, or engage in supervised group play with other dogs.

Accommodations your pet can expect at our boarding facility include:

BOARDING PRICING LISTED ABOVE ARE PER NIGHT, PER PET.
During major holidays (Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) there is a $10 additional charge for the day before, day of and day after the major holiday.

Important Note About Pre-Packaged Pet Food

To ensure your pet is properly fed during their stay with us, please place any food brought from home into pre-packaged bags per feeding. Canned or wet foods may stay in their original packaging.

While pets can continue using our house food during their stay, we recommend bringing your pet’s food from home if they are on a prescription diet or have a food allergy. Also, if your pet’s prescription diet is carried at our hospital, you are welcome to purchase a bag to be used during your pet’s boarding stay that can then be sent home with you.

If your pet’s food is not pre-packaged when they come to board with us, a fee will be incurred. Also, we do not accept large containers. Thank you for your cooperation! Please call us at (708) 478-7788 if you have any questions.

Dog Daycare

If you feel guilty about leaving your pet at home all day while you’re at work or running errands, why not enroll them in our daycare? Our 5,000-square foot facility includes large indoor and outdoor play areas and an inground pool.

Daycare guests are always supervised and attended by trained staff members, who will be more than happy to shower your pet with affection and help them burn off energy. For less social pets, our staff members can arrange private play sessions. Dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed/neutered. Daycare reservations are recommended since we do book up fast. Reservations can be made within 48 hours of the desired date.

Boarding and Daycare Requirements

New clients and new patients are required to have an in-person exam by one of our veterinarians and provide medical records at least 48 hours prior to drop off. For existing patients, we recommend vaccines be updated at least 2 weeks prior to any boarding, grooming or daycare for best protection.

  • Both Dogs and Cats must have had an annual exam in the last 12 months by one of our veterinarians.

You need to have proof of vaccinations prior to dropping off your pet for boarding or daycare. If they are not up-to-date on all of their vaccinations, we can vaccinate at drop-off time. The required vaccinations include:

  • Negative stool sample in last 12 months
